Filter Assemblies

Purification of air we breathe carries contaminants. Airborne particles, water, microbes, and chemical gases enter compressors. At a state, these contaminants become concentrated and more destructive.

Complete Coalescing Filter Assembly

Coalescing filters capture oil, moisture, and particles, binding them together until their mass is heavy enough for gravity to send this waste to a drain valve. A coalescer filter is often called a pre-filter because it is usually located prior to an air dryer to prevent oil and particulate from soiling the desiccant. Edmac offers a comprehensive range of compressed air and gas filtration products for use in almost every industrial environment. Within our line of coalescing filter assembly range of threaded filters, we offer many models with connections from ¼" to 3" and flow capacities up to 1500 SCFM (2550 Nm³/h).

Air Intake Filter Assembly - Air Intake Filter Assemblies & Inlet Filter Silencers & Elements

The FS & F series is the standard for inlet filtration and silencing. They have an integrated reactive design with multiple tubes. Industrial, severe & extreme duty models are in stock.

Manufactured primarily for blowers and compressors, inlet filter elements are installed in such industries as mining, foundries, food manufacturing, waste treatment, plastic manufacturing, recycling, and many more.

The filters are designed using materials to suit the industry and the operating environment. Changing safety standards and the need to improve performance means that new materials are being used in our manufacturing processes.

All intake assemblies and silencers require an air filter element as an important part of the silencer. All Solberg Air Filter Assemblies include an intake/inlet air filter housing and air filter element. If you need Solberg replacement filter elements, please use our quick search tool at the top of the page.

Complete Particulate Filter Assembly

Commonly referred to as an after-filter because of their placement on the airline just after a desiccant air dryer, these Particulate Filter Assemblies capture the fine desiccant particles coming off the dryer before they can damage equipment or product batches down the line.

Edmac offers a comprehensive range of compressed air and gas filtration products for use in almost every industrial environment. Within our line of particulate filter assembly range of threaded filters we offer many models with connections from ¼" to 3" and flow capacities up to 1500 SCFM (2550 Nm³/h).

Complete Adsorber Filter Assembly

Adsorbers remove odor from process air and are usually located on the airline after the dryer. Adsorption filters with activated carbon are for adsorption of harmful gases and smell from the air. The largest use of Carbon elements is in the purification of water. Activated carbon achieves the maximum enlargement of the inner and outer surface after the special treatment and so the adsorption area is extremely high - up to 1250 m2 for every gram of active carbon.

Medical Sterile Filter Assemblies

Medical Sterile filters have been specifically designed and manufactured for medical compressed air plants. Exceeding the requirements of NFPA 99 standard for Healthcare Facilities, Medical Sterile Filters guarantee reliable and outstanding air purity that meets internationally certified medical performance levels.

Oil/Water Separators

Compressed air holds a lot of water vapor, and once that vapor becomes cooled into a liquid (condensate) what's created is a dirty, oily watery mixture that can't simply be sent down the drain. This is when a compressed air water separator is key to purifying your system.

Since the condensate is approximately 95% water and 5% oil, condensate management systems (oil water separators) have been developed to reduce or eliminate the amount of oil in the condensate. Purchasing a water separator for air compressor will extend the life of the compressor and keep a purified stream of water running throughout your system.

Edmac also offers replacement oil and water separator bags for popular oil/water separators. Search for an Oil/Water Replacement Bag by OEM.

Compressed air flow meters- Accurate Mass Measurement of Natural Gas flow, airflow, and other gases.

An industrial flow meter is an instrument used to measure linear, nonlinear, mass or volumetric flow rate of a liquid or a gas.

The precise measurement of the actual flow rate provides the foundation for various analyses, documentations, and decisions in connection with compressed air systems. Possible overloading (e.g. excessive air velocities) or malfunctions can be quickly and reliably detected and this permits economically optimized dimensioning of the plant components. Moreover, the exact allocation of consumption percentages to the different stages of production is of great value for making fact-based business management decisions.

Last but not least, the flow rate measurement will indicate the loss of compressed air due to leakage. An important economic factor considering that every third compressor only runs to compensate for the loss of air!

Compressed Air Piping

The purpose of the compressed air piping system is to deliver compressed air to the points of usage. The compressed air needs to be delivered with enough volume, appropriate quality, and pressure to properly power the components that use the compressed air. Compressed air is costly to manufacture.

A poorly designed compressed air system can increase energy costs, promote equipment failure, reduce production efficiencies, and increase maintenance requirements. It is generally considered true that any additional costs spent improving the compressed air piping system will pay for themselves many times over the life of the system. Compressed air is utilized in many commercial industrial facilities and is considered a utility essential to production. Transair's aluminum compressed air pipe system provides airtight fittings with full-bore flow creating a more energy-efficient system.

Pressure Gauges

Air Pressure Gauges are used in a variety of applications and settings to measure the pressure of air in a tank. Industrial environments where coatings and sealants are applied on a regular basis rely on a gauge's readings to ensure safety guidelines are being met, and application amounts are per specifications.

Gauges are manufactured to meet certain guidelines, as put forth by the American National Standards Institute, or ANSI, and are designed to different accuracy readings, depending on the application type. Pressure gauges can provide needed information when a machine malfunctions, allowing operators to attend to the problem before more serious problems develop. The design of the liquid gauge makes for less wear and tear, fewer problems with condensation and back-up, as well as a longer lifespan.

Air Compressor Pressure Switches

A pressure switch is simply a device that reacts to the changing pressure in a system. As it reacts to that pressure change in the system the pressure switch generates or drops an outgoing signal that is used to initiate another action. In the case of an air compressor, the "another action" is to turn on or turn off the electric motor. Because there are so many different types of air compressors, electrically driven, rotary screw, reciprocating and natural gas, a dependable air compressor pressure switch is key to the delivered service. An unloader valve that senses line pressure and provides a control signal to system valves is a feature to make sure your air compressor pressure switch is equipped with.

When considering an air compressor switch look at these different suggestions before purchasing; operating pressure range, type of fluid: gas or liquid, sensor mechanism for the pressure switch and the operating temperature. A disconnect metal lever is also recommended in manually turning off the compressor. Other features to look for are a no drift pressure setting, corrosion-proof covers, and a pulsation dampener.

Neoprene Anti-Vibration Pads- Super Soundproofing Anti-Vibration Isolation Pads

Two types of sound are usually caused by machinery: Airborne sound and Vibration sound. Soundproofing by vibration isolation: Used for commercial sound and vibration isolation of machinery.

Laminated pad consists of neoprene construction securely bonded between two layers of 1/4" waffle designed, oil-resistant neoprene. This combination offers the highest degree of sound attention and vibration isolation available in a pad-type mounting.
